Follow Me

“Follow me as I follow Him”

1 Corinthians 11:1

As we come out of the year of COVID, many of us in ministry are reevaluating the way we’ve been doing things like events, relationship building, and even the lessons we’ve been teaching. So, for NCYM 2022, the Holy Spirit has led us to focus on the command from Jesus to “Follow Me”!

In Luke 9:23, Jesus says to his disciples, “Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross daily and FOLLOW ME.” We think that this is an important reminder to us all about the call we have to ministry, but also our own personal call to follow Jesus in our lives. If we are going to challenge our students to “follow me as I follow Him” (1 Cor. 11:1), then we must be sure that we are following Christ first.

And we want to reevaluate what we are calling our students to follow – not just an exciting student ministry, but a real call to discipleship of living their lives for Christ. A challenge to follow Christ daily, to die to self—to serve Him, to love others—to be the Body of Christ! It’s a hard challenge, but it’s a call to an exciting life of discipleship.

Join us in Atlanta in January 2022 as we remind ourselves what it means to answer the call of Jesus – “Follow Me”!
